Churchair 1999, Churchair for the second time. What was your motivation?
The same as for Churchair 98. The Kinderspital took very good care of my child when it was there. When you start something you've got to finish it.
The Churchair got bigger this year, what is Churchair 2000 going to look like?
It's going to be mega. We're hoping to get the top-acts from Switzerland and from Germany. We just want to blow Switzerland apart and say "look man, if you have an idea for a good cause go ahead and do it, don't be afraid."
What does hope mean to you?
Hope is not out yet because there are people who don't believe, that Gospel-music can be profitable in Europe as well. Xavier Naido proved them wrong. He's also a contemporary Gospel-singer and I'm hoping that some of that will spill over unto Switzerland and that Swiss people will realise that Gospel-music is popular and that it is profitable.
Gospel in Swiss churches?
I think it's necessary. People you don't agree with that, should read the bible because it says that we should pray with our hands, cymbals and brass. It says, you should clap your hands, you should sing, lift your voice up to the lord and that's exactly what He means. He doesn't mean Switzerland should not clap their hands.
What do you feel while you're singing Gospel?
I just feel the ultimate kind of love and I'm so thankful for this little bit of talent that the Lord has given me to be able to use for his service and for his will. I think that when more people in Switzerland start praising him, we'll se that more things start turning around and that young people start going to church. Little problems that may seem big now here in Switzerland will disappear. It's all a matter of praying and getting in contact with your inner power.
A pop-concert on pray-day. Many people especially from the community here in Küsnacht criticise this event because of the pray-day, say it's controversial.
We're allowed to work on Sunday, which was supposed to be the Sabbath and for the Jews Saturday is the Sabbath: so who's to say what day is holy. When you're doing something for god, that is a sacred day. If you're doing something to help mankind, which is what He says to help your brother, that is a holy day. It doesn't matter what day you do it on.
